Chicago alderman candidate John Arena returns $3,300 contribution from Lois Varvil

The campaign committee of Chicago alderman candidate John Arena, Citizens to Elect John Arena, returned a $3,300 contribution from Lois Varvil on July 15, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Candidates sometimes refuse or return contributions because they do not want their campaign to be affiliated with the donor. Varvil has not made any other contributions to John Arena in the past 12 months.
