treasurer candidate Peter Gariepy returns $400 contribution from Christopher Janus

The campaign committee of treasurer candidate Peter Gariepy, Friends of Peter Gariepy, returned a $400 contribution from Christopher Janus on Oct. 15, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Candidates sometimes refuse or return contributions because they do not want their campaign to be affiliated with the donor. Janus has not made any other contributions to Peter Gariepy in the past 12 months.
