Chicago Fire FC announced on Apr. 7 that its 2026 Summer Concert Series, presented by Café Bustelo, will feature post-match performances by hip-hop artist Lupe Fiasco and DJ duo Two Friends at Soldier Field.
The concert series is scheduled to coincide with a significant summer for soccer in the United States, as the club pauses its Major League Soccer schedule for international competitions. The events aim to bring together fans through music and soccer during a period highlighted by the FIFA World Cup.
Lupe Fiasco will perform after Chicago Fire’s match against Toronto FC on May 23, which marks the club’s final game before the league break. Two Friends are set to headline following a “Homecoming Night” match against Vancouver Whitecaps on July 16, just days before the World Cup Final. Dan Moriarty, Chief Marketing Officer at Chicago Fire FC, said: “Our Summer Concert Series brings fans together at the intersection of soccer, music and culture. This year’s lineup builds on the momentum of our previous concert events and reinforces our commitment to delivering unforgettable matchday experiences that expand beyond the pitch.”
Reflecting on his upcoming performance in his hometown, Lupe Fiasco said: “Chicago is home, so performing at Soldier Field means a lot. Happy to be part of the Summer Concert Series with Chicago Fire FC.” The DJ duo Two Friends also commented: “There’s nothing like playing for a crowd in Chicago. The Fire’s Summer Concert Series is the perfect crossover of sports, music and community, and we can’t wait to keep the energy going after the final whistle. It’s going to be next level.”
In addition to concerts at Soldier Field—a venue used by Chicago Fire FC for matches and events according to their official website—the club will host its Chicago Fire Soccer Celebration fan zone throughout this summer’s international tournament break.
Founded in 1997 as one of Major League Soccer’s first expansion teams, Chicago Fire FC competes in MLS conferences with a professional roster according to their official website.
