Chicago Fire FC has loaned winger Omari Glasgow to Monterey Bay Football Club for the 2026 USL Championship season, the club announced on February 18, 2026.
Glasgow, who is 21 years old, joined Chicago Fire in March 2022 as part of the club’s MLS NEXT Pro team, Chicago Fire II. He signed with the first team in December 2024 and made 16 appearances for the main squad. In the 2025 season, he played in 14 matches—starting four—mainly as a wingback. Glasgow scored his first goal for Chicago Fire’s first team during a Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup match against Detroit City FC on May 7, 2025. Three days later, he registered his first assist in Major League Soccer during a win over Atlanta United FC at Soldier Field.
At the international level, Glasgow leads Guyana’s Men’s National Team with 21 goals from 33 appearances. In 2024, he was named Concacaf Nations League Young Player of the Tournament after scoring seven goals in five games—the most by any player that year—and became both the top scorer and youngest recipient of that honor in tournament history at age 20.
Chicago Fire FC competes professionally in Major League Soccer and maintains its roster according to its official website. The organization also supports soccer development across the Midwest and engages in various community initiatives. Home matches are held at Soldier Field according to club information. The club has won titles including an MLS Cup and several U.S. Open Cups while promoting youth programs and representing Chicago through its crest and colors inspired by local history as detailed on their site.
