Chicago, IL — On July 7, Congresswoman Delia C. Ramirez (IL-03) announced the successful resolution to a constituent services matter that resulted in Glenbard Township High School District #87 regaining access to federal funding opportunities for schools. All public school districts are required to register in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to have access to federal grant opportunities.

“We can’t thank you and your staff enough for your help in getting this matter resolved. We were so impressed with the constant communication by both email and phone of updates. Your team knew this matter was very urgent for our district and handled it accordingly. We called other schools, attorneys, ISBE, and a regional office of education. It was your team that got answers and resolution,” wrote Glenbard HS District #87 Controller Barry Brave in a letter addressed to Congresswoman Ramirez. “It is so refreshing to have support from our Congresswoman and her team when help was needed most for your constituents.”

After months of the Glenbard Township High School District #87 trying to fix an error in their SAM registration documents, the school district contacted Congresswoman Ramirez’s office for assistance. Within two days, the office was able to ensure the  SAM renewal was approved, giving the school district access to federal grants again.

The Office of Congresswoman Ramirez is here to help. Since coming into Congress in January 2023, the office has helped more than 530 constituents resolve issues with the Social Security Administration, the Veterans Affairs Department, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), getting their passport on time, and more.

To receive assistance with a federal agency from the Office of Congresswoman Ramirez, constituents of IL-03 can reach out to her Chicago office at (773) 799-8219 and her DuPage County office at (630) 520-9494 or through our website at www.ramirez.house.gov/services/help-federal-agency.
