Cook County Sheriff’s Office announced on January 23 and 24, 2026, via social media that three individuals were arrested in connection with a retail theft incident involving nearly $4,000 worth of athleticwear from a store in the West Loop. According to the department’s official post on January 23, “Cook County Sheriff’s Police arrested three people after nearly $4,000 in athleticwear was taken from a West Loop store. At approximately 10:20 a.m., Sheriff’s Police Organized Retail Crime officers working with Lululemon on a retail theft suppression operation were notified https://t.co/uCwDiB1EQK”.

Further information regarding the incident was shared by the office later that day and into the following morning. The arrests resulted from collaboration between law enforcement and Lululemon as part of an ongoing effort to combat organized retail crime.
