Kelly: Loyola gunman ‘healthy enough’ to cross border, shoplift and murder, now claims he needs surgery to stand trial

Political commentator Julie Kelly said a public defender for Jose Medina, the Venezuelan national accused of killing Loyola University student Sheridan Gorman in Chicago, told a court the defendant may require surgery for a bullet fragment and other medical complaints. Kelly contrasted those claims with Medina’s alleged history of illegally entering the United States, shoplifting, and the March 19 shooting that left Gorman dead.
