PERUVIAN-AMERICAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE OF CHICAGO: How to Get Great Customer Reviews on Google Maps
Peruvian-American Chamber Of Commerce Of Chicago issued the following announcement on June 4.
Asking happy customers to review your small business will boost your profile on Google and help your company stand out from competitors.
If your toughest competitor has a listing on Google Maps, how can you help your company’s listing stand out to customers?
“The best and most effective way to get your business to rank higher on Google Maps is to get more reviews than your competition and to respond to all of those reviews,” said Blake Aylott, a digital marketer working for Project Build Construction, a California-based general contracting firm.
As most business owners know, getting satisfied customers to leave positive reviews online is more challenging than it sounds. Just remember one thing: You won’t get positive reviews unless you ask.
Here’s how to ask and earn positive customers reviews on Google Maps:
Make a habit of asking happy customers to leave reviews on your Google My Business profile or directly on Google Maps.
Make it easy for customers to leave reviews. Provide them a link to your page, and provide that link frequently — on your receipts and invoices, on your website, and in your customer emails.
When a customer leaves a review — good or bad — thank them! If there is a problem, correct it. This is Customer Service 101. Every online review is a chance to demonstrate your customer service skills in a way that earns new business and keeps customers coming back.
