Back of the Yards home prices rise in August 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in August 2017 in Back of the Yards, a Chicago neighborhood, rose by $31,000 while total sales decreased by 32%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In August 2017, there were 17 homes sold, with a median sale price of $85,000 - a 57.4% increase over the $54,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 25 homes sold in Back of the Yards in August 2016.

The median sales tax in Back of the Yards for 2017 was $2,088. In 2016, the median sales tax was $2,046. This marks an increase of 2.1%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.5%.
