Bike/Walk to School – Spring Event – May 8th. Recap of the event, no numbers received from the schools on the number of students that participated. Discussion ensued with how to try and get better data from the schools but that might not be an easy task without Commission members being present any every school.

The post for the feather / leaf sign will be purchased and picked up before the event so that we can have it displayed.

History Ride – 2019 – Brief discussion on this event since it’s further in the future but wanted to discuss the legalities of using a waiver if we use the Event Brite online service to encourage residents to sign up. Speak with the Assistant City Manager (John Duguay) about this issue.

IV. Other Topics / New Business:

May – Bike Month – Library Display – Brief discussion about the display at the library and we are looking to have that set up for the month of July. Dan Dlhy mentioned a nice glass case that the History Commission had at the library and wanted to see if we are able to use that for our display.

T-Shirts for Sale – Rita Nathanson stated that they are working on the design for the t-shirts and will need to get some cost estimates. Dan Dlhy want to make sure that the city will be alright with us selling t-shirts at our events for cost.

The Prairie Path is currently on the property owned by the railroad. Gary Avenue, there is talk about putting infrastructure in place for bicycle lanes and a light at the Sportsplex.
