The data shows that the four released offenders living in the Chicago zip code were men. The median age of the parolees was 49. The youngest parolee was a 30-year-old man convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2015, and the oldest was a 59-year-old man convicted of a property crime in 2018.
The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Anthony Bergamino. He was convicted of a sex crime in 2014, when he was 52 years old. He is now 57.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
