2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in zip code 60643?

There were 113 offenders released on parole during 2018 that live near Illinois zip code 60643, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Chicago City Wire.

The data shows that 109 men and four women were released in the Chicago zip code. Of the parolees, two were veterans, and the median age was 36. The youngest parolee was a 20-year-old man convicted of a crime involving one or more weapons in 2018, and the oldest was a 61-year-old man convicted of a property crime in 2017.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Michael Boone. He was convicted of a sex crime in 1985, when he was 28 years old. He is now 62.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
