Which wards have the most homes with delinquent property taxes?

As of May 21, 9,683 residential properties in Chicago were delinquent on their 2017 property taxes, according to a Chicago City Wire analysis of data made available on the Cook County Treasurer website.

If a property owner fails to pay taxes in Illinois, he or she can eventually lose ownership of the property.

The following table ranks Chicago's neighborhoods by the percentage of delinquent properties.
