South Shore home prices fall in the second half of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2019 in South Shore, a Chicago neighborhood, fell by $15,500 while total sales decreased by 18.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2019, there were 167 homes sold, with a median sale price of $94,500 - a 14.1% decrease over the $110,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 205 homes sold in South Shore in the second half of 2018.
