The Chicago Hounds have announced the addition of three new players as they approach the end of the season, with hopes of securing a playoff spot. The team has signed prop Alu Taito for the remainder of the season. They have also brought in Nicolas Revol-Pitt on loan from Dallas and Juan Pen from the Carolina Anthem.

Alu Taito, who played for the American Raptors in Super Rugby Americas during 2023, joins his distant cousin Cassh Maluia at the Hounds. Maluia also played for the Raptors last year.

Nicolas Revol-Pitt arrives on loan from Dallas for the rest of 2024. In his debut season with Dallas in 2023, he started seven games and appeared in ten, scoring two tries and covering 146 meters on 36 carries. Defensively, he made 61 successful tackles out of 76 attempts. This season, Revol-Pitt has only made one appearance for Dallas, playing a total of 44 minutes.

Juan Pen returns to Chicago after being originally drafted by them in the second round of the 2023 Major League Rugby collegiate draft. Despite strong performances during academy play, Pen's rights were transferred to Carolina due to a crowded roster at tighthead prop. He will now remain with Chicago on loan for the rest of this season.
