On Thursday, March 13, former Whitney M. Young Magnet High School standout Kate Coonan’s current college team, the Case Western Reserve Spartans, won 3-1 in their NCAA Division III softball game against the Whittier Poets.

The game took place at Charles and Marie Palmer Softball Field. This was their second matchup against the Poets this season.

The Spartans’ next game is scheduled for Friday, March 14 at 3 p.m. at W.O. Hart Park against Chapman Panthers.
