TREASURER’S REPORT: February 2026 Report from Village Treasurer Maureen Gumowski.

PRESIDENT’S REPORT:

1. Motion that the Village Board approve Resolution 2026-05: A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF CHERRY VALLEY, ILLINOIS AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE TO ENTER INTO AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH CHERRY VALLEY TOWNSHIP, ILLINOIS FOR THE SHARED USE OF EQUIPMENT.

2. Motion that the Village Board approve a Special Event Permit for Mid-West Family of Northern Illinois, a 501 (C) 3 Organization, to host a St. Patrick’s .1 K Run/Walk at Benny’s, 7125 Harrison Ave. Rockford, IL on Saturday March 14, 2026 from 10 AM to 1 PM for the Rock & Roll Institute NFP and to waive the normal fees.

ORDINANCE REPORT BY TRUSTEE NANCY BELT:

1. Motion that the Village Board consider this the second and final reading of Ordinance 2026-05: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES FOR THE VILLAGE OF CHERRY VALLEY, ILLINOIS CHAPTER 74, UTILITIES, ARTICLE II, WATER, SECTION 74-126 WATER RATES, CUSTOMER CHARGE, CONSUMPTION FEE, METER MAINTENANCE CHARGE TO PROVIDE FOR ADDITIONAL WATER USE PERMITS. 

2. Motion that the Village Board pass and approve Ordinance 2026-05: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES FOR THE VILLAGE OF CHERRY VALLEY, ILLINOIS CHAPTER 74, UTILITIES, ARTICLE II, WATER, SECTION 74-126 WATER RATES, CUSTOMER CHARGE, CONSUMPTION FEE, METER MAINTENANCE CHARGE TO PROVIDE FOR ADDITIONAL WATER USE PERMITS.

PUBLIC WORKS REPORT BY TRUSTEE MIKE NEVILLE:

1. Motion that the Village Board approve Interim Public Works Director Andy Wesseln to attend a class titled “Equipment Use and Workplace Safety” through the University of Wisconsin – Madison, Public Works Supervisory Academy at the Moraine Park Technical Collage in Fon Du Lac, WI at a cost of $150.00 from line item 5196 Public Works.

2. Motion that the Village Board approve the purchase of (16) ¾” residential water meters from Core & Main, Belvidere, IL to complete the village’s Water Meter Replacement Program. Cost is $3,120.00 from line item 5382 Water.

PUBLIC SAFETY REPORT BY TRUSTEE SCOTT KRAMER:

1. Motion that the Village Board approve the purchase (2) Verkada Outdoor Cameras, with associated mounting systems, licenses, video storage and including installation from MONARCH, Chino, CA to be installed in the 200 block of East State Street, Cherry Valley, IL at a total cost of $8,942.04 from line item 5375 Capital Improvements.

2. Motion that the Village Board approve the purchase and installation of new work space equipment for the Front Desk Office Area in the Police Department from modernspace studio, Loves Park, IL at a cost of $11.552.41 from line item 5400 Capital Improvements.

FINANCE REPORT BY TRUSTEE BRANDI PEARSE:

1. Motion that the Village Board approve a Proposal from CDW-G for the Implementation of Microsoft Defender Office 365 for the Village of Cherry Valley, at an estimated fixed fee of $16,962.50 from line item 5377 Capital Improvements. (This cost doesn’t include any time which may be needed from Trimbleit).
