72 percent of applicants to DePaul University were admitted for fall 2017

At DePaul University, 84 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 52 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Chicago enrolled 22,769 students in fall 2017, including 14,816 in undergraduate and 7,953 in graduate programs, data shows. 8.4 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

60 percent of undergraduates are residents of Illinois, and 40 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (53 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (19 percent).

The school admitted 72 percent of the 21,613 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 16 percent enrolled.
