About the Crime:

This alert gives notice to businesses in the 009th District (Deering) of robbery related incidents which have occurred during the months of February/March. In these incidents, unknown offender with knife enter businesses, approaches the victim/store attendant and demands cash from the register. Incident times and locations are listed below:

About the Offenders:

One (1) Male Hispanic, 20-30 years, heavy set, 5'07-5'08, 300-310lbs., light brown complexion, tattoo on left eye and right eye, wearing black jeans, brown vest, black gym shoes, dark blue t-shirt and wearing a surgical face mask and gloves.

Incident date and times:

•  4100 Block of South Archer Avenue on February 18, 2023 between the hours of 6:25 and 6:30PM.
•  3500 Block of South Western Avenue on March 2, 2023 at 7:56PM.

What you can do:

• Always be aware of your surroundings
•  Report suspicious activity immediately
•  If you are confronted by an assailant remain calm
•  Remember any unique physical characteristics (scars, limp, acne, teeth, etc...)
•  Never pursue a fleeing assailant, provide the information to the police
•  If video surveillance equipment is present, please save a copy of the incident for investigating detectives
•  If approached by a witness to the incident, request contact information
•  Dial 9-1-1 immediately and remain on scene when possible
