About 80.6 percent of the 72 degrees and certificates handed out by the SAE Institute of Technology-Chicago in 2016-17 were to students in Communication Technologies/Technicians and Support Services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private for-profit institution in Chicago conferred 52 associate's degrees and 6 certificates in Communication Technologies/Technicians and Support Services programs.

But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in Recording Arts Technology/Technician. Data shows the school gave out 52 associate's degrees in Recording Arts Technology/Technician, followed by 14 associate's degrees in Arts, Entertainment, and Media Management, Other and 6 certificates in Recording Arts Technology/Technician.

The institute enrolled 210 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
