Graduates earn 1,451 degrees, certificates from City Colleges of Chicago-Malcolm X College

About 68.6 percent of the 1,451 degrees and certificates handed out by the City Colleges of Chicago-Malcolm X College in 2016-17 were to students in Health Professions and Related Programs programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Chicago conferred 755 certificates and 240 associate's degrees in Health Professions and Related Programs programs.

But the single most popular program was for a certificate in Nursing Assistant/Aide and Patient Care Assistant/Aide. Data shows the school gave out 362 certificates in Nursing Assistant/Aide and Patient Care Assistant/Aide, followed by 172 certificates in Emergency Care Attendant (EMT Ambulance) and 166 associate's degrees in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse.

The college enrolled 6,183 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
