Cost of college was unchanged for all students at City Colleges of Chicago-Harold Washington College

In-state tuition and fees was unchanged for 2017-18 at City Colleges of Chicago-Harold Washington College, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

Illinois residents paid $8,126 to attend the two-year public institution in both the 2016-17 and 2017-18 academic years.

Non-resident students would have paid 46.5 percent more than residents this year, or $11,906. Non-resident tuition and fees was unchanged from $11,906 in 2016-17.

About 99 percent of the school's undergraduate population are Illinois residents. And about 1 percent are citizens of other countries.

Data shows 77 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 1,062 students received grants or scholarships totaling $5.05 million and 57 students took out student loans totaling more than $185,860.

Including all undergraduates, 4,664 students used grants or scholarships totaling $18.68 million. Another 746 took out $2.65 million in federal student loans.
