70 percent of applicants to Roosevelt University were admitted for fall 2017

At Roosevelt University, 74 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 63 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Chicago enrolled 4,457 students in fall 2017, including 2,578 in undergraduate and 1,879 in graduate programs, data shows. 16.3 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

66 percent of undergraduates are residents of Illinois, and 31 percent are residents of other states. 3 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (44 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (25 percent).

The school admitted 70 percent of the 4,018 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 13 percent enrolled.
