Leslie A. Hairston and William Calloway will participate in a run-off election on April 2 to see who will serve as Chicago's 5th Ward alderman after voters failed to elect a clear winner on Tuesday.
With 40 of 41 precincts reporting, Hairston received 6,036 votes, or 49.12 percent of the overall vote. Calloway came in second with 3,259 votes (26.52 percent), according to the Chicago Board of Elections.
