Bridgeport home prices rise in the first half of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2018 in Bridgeport, a Chicago neighborhood, rose by $17,500 while total sales decreased by 8.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2018, there were 154 homes sold, with a median sale price of $344,000 - a 5.4% increase over the $326,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 168 homes sold in Bridgeport in the first half of 2017.

The median sales tax in Bridgeport for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $5,097, approximately 1.5% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2018.
