Andersonville home prices fall in 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in 2017 in Andersonville, a Chicago neighborhood, fell by $78,750 while total sales decreased by 2.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2017, there were 189 homes sold, with a median sale price of $410,000 - a 16.1% decrease over the $488,750 median sale price for the previous year. There were 194 homes sold in Andersonville in 2016.

The median sales tax in Andersonville for 2017 was $7,966. In 2016, the median sales tax was $7,751. This marks an increase of 2.8%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.9%.
