Q1 2019 Recap: Parolees near Illinois zip code 60644 convicted of crimes against persons

There were three offenders convicted of crimes against persons released on parole near Illinois zip code 60644 during the first quarter, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the Chicago City Wire.

The data shows that three men were among the parolees. The median age of the parolees sentenced for crimes against persons was 34. The youngest parolee was a 26-year-old man sentenced in 2017, and the oldest was a 40-year-old man sentenced in 2014.

The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Matthew Green. He was convicted of a crime against a person in 2014 when he was 35 years old. He is now 40.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below shows the 50 zips in Illinois with the most paroled offenders in the first quarter who were convicted of crimes against persons.
