68 percent of applicants to Loyola University Chicago were admitted for fall 2018

At Loyola University Chicago, 92 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 67 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Chicago enrolled 17,007 students in fall 2018, including 11,919 in undergraduate and 5,088 in graduate programs, data shows. 4.4 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

52 percent of undergraduates are residents of Illinois, and 46 percent are residents of other states. 3 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (55 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (16 percent).

The school admitted 68 percent of the 25,122 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 16 percent enrolled.
