Cost of college went up for all students at Roosevelt University

Tuition and fees rose 3 percent for 2018-19 at Roosevelt University, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Illinois students paid $29,832 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $869 more than the $28,963 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 98 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 347 students received grants or scholarships totaling $7.1 million and 247 students took out student loans totaling more than $1.9 million.

Including all undergraduates (4,329), 2,186 students used grants or scholarships totaling $34.1 million, and 1,650 students took out $12.9 million in federal student loans.
