Advocate Trinity Hospital issued the following announcement on Dec. 20.
Another band-aid means we’re one step closer to beating this deadly virus. Frontline clinicians at Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin were proud to join the fight and make history by becoming some of the first in the state of Illinois to receive the #COVID19Vaccine.
In the coming days, we will be offering the vaccine to clinicians at other locations across our system who are in close contact with COVID-19 patients. As we distribute to our providers in the weeks to come, we ask that our community continues to #MaskUp, follow social distancing guidelines, and practice proper hand hygiene.
