George Mason University economist Donald J. Boudreaux came on Chicago’s Morning Answer radio show and talked about his disappointment with his fellow liberals and libertarians for their silence in the face of COVID-related restrictions
Boudreaux, along with the two hosts of the show, Dan Proft and Amy Jacobson, talked at length about restrictions imposed on all Americans due to the pandemic.
Boudreaux said that he is disappointed that there weren’t enough liberals and libertarians opposing infringements on their personal liberties despite him believing that if anyone would oppose the strict regulations of the current administration it would be his liberal friends.
Boudreaux said, “I am disappointed in a number of . . . a number of my classical liberal and libertarian friends and acquaintances who I would have predicted one year ago would have been shouting from the rooftops with megaphones in opposition to this COVID tyranny. But so many of them have kept quiet.”
