One Chicago resident fears the latest Travel Advisory will lead to another shutdown. | Pixabay
Chicagoan Bradley Shrader is hoping the city's fresh Travel Advisory isn’t a sign of things to come.
The city, after several weeks of having no states listed on its Travel Advisory, added two states back: Missouri and Arkansas.
Shrader shared a NWIDigest.com Facebook post that reads, “Thoughts on if we’re going to get locked down again.”
The Travel Advisory came July 13 amid rising COVID-19 cases in various regions of the country. Case increases in both states have pushed their numbers above the 15 cases per day, per 100,000 residents threshold, according to a release by the City of Chicago.
With the change, the release says, all individuals traveling from either state to Chicago are advised to obtain a negative COVID-19 test result no more than 72 hours prior to arrival or to quarantine for a 10-day period upon arriving in the city.

For the first time, on June 1 there were three consecutive periods of no states in the Orange tier, so the Order was downgraded to an Advisory, the city release says. Travel restrictions can be reinstated at any time if the Chicago Department of Public Health detects a surge in cases anywhere.
