On July 30, Maureen Sturman purchased a home at 848 S. Laflin St., Chicago from Betty Nieves (trust) and Betty Nieves (trustee) for $530,000.

In 2019, the property tax paid for this property was $5,818.60, which is 1.1% of the sale price of the home.

So far in July 2021, 29 properties sold in University Village / Little Italy.

According to the Illinois State Board of Elections, Betty Nieves has been registered to vote since 1985 and has voted in at least 12 primary elections, records show, including 12 Democratic Primaries.

The Illinois State Board of Elections data shows that there were two registered voters residing at 848 S. Laflin St. as of Oct. 10, 2020: Betty Nieves, 78, and Virginia Marks, 55.
