Carter: Conroy bill ‘excuse to expand the totalitarianism that is now a core concept of the Modern Democratic Party’

Activist Jeffrey Carter is calling out state Rep. Deb Conroy (D-Villa Park) for sponsoring a bill that would allow politicians to isolate unvaccinated individuals during health crises.

Conroy is the sponsor of House Bill 4640

The bill has received a lot of flak for its totalitarian tone.

Conroy’s bill would allow the state to "isolate or quarantine persons who are unable or unwilling to receive vaccines, medications, or other treatments."

“The state has already shown it cannot ‘combat’ a virus,” Carter told Chicago City Wire. “Conroy is using faulty logic in this bill.  It is just an excuse to expand the totalitarianism that is now a core concept of the Modern Democratic Party.  She should resign her position as a representative in a democratic republic since she follows the principles and precepts of dictators.”

Conroy's plan would give local health departments and state legislators formal legal authority to fully regulate the behavior of anyone who does not obey their COVID-19 limits and rules, including isolating and guarding them.

“How is this any different than Nazi Germany concentration camps for gypsies, gays, undesirables and Jews, gulags in Russia, labor camps in North Korea, modern day China with Muslims, or any other totalitarian society we know of?” Carter said.

According to the text, local health departments can "adopt any rules" necessary, which might include internment camps, which are now popular in Australia, where people judged hazards can be arrested and taken to "isolation camps" where they are held in rooms and fed only once a day. Three fugitives from a Howard Spring camp were just "captured."

Carter noted the science does not back masks or forced vaccines and that natural immunity provides a better defense to reinfection than vaccination.

Illinois already has some of the most stringent COVID-19 regulations of any state.  Natural immunity gives higher protection against COVID-19 than immunizations, according to the CDC and Johns Hopkins University.

In a moment of satire Carter noted it would make more sense to isolate those at most risk of dying from COVID-19.

“Covid adversely impacts the elderly and people who are obese or have other things wrong with them.  Maybe we should be setting up concentration camps for fat people until they lose enough weight to be considered non-obese,” he said.

Conroy is running for Chairman of the DuPage County Board of Commissioners. Political commentators have pointed out that the bill's harsh language will hurt her chances of getting elected to the position, which pays approximately $128,000 per year. Her yearly salary as a legislator is almost $70,0000 before other benefits.
