ENGINEER’S REPORT:

1. Project Updates from Sheri Kosmos C.E.S. INC.

Updates regarding the village’s water system, including a progress update on the village’s Well #7 Project, current status of the repairs to Well #2 and an update regarding Well #1.

NEW BUSINESS:

1. Committee discussion and a motion to send to the Village Board (4) employees (Stephen Rucker, Nate Klinefelter, Andy Wesseln and Steve Strasser), to attend pesticide training through an online course provided by the University of Illinois at a cost of $45 (x4) and $5 (x4) for workbooks. The total costs for this General Standards Online Course is $200.00 from line item 5195PW.

2. Committee discussion and a motion to send to the Village Board the same (4) employees (Stephen Rucker, Nate Klinefelter, Andy Wesseln and Steve Strasser), to attend the Right of Way Online Course at $25 (x4) plus $5 (x4) for workbooks. The total costs for this Right of Way Training, which needs to be done in conjunction with the pesticide training, is $120.00 from line item 5195PW.

3. Committee discussion and a motion to approve C.E.S. INC. to advertise for bids for the Harrison Ave. Eastbound Resurfacing Project. (Tentative bid opening date will be March 14, 2022).

4. Committee discussion and a motion to approve C.E.S. INC. to advertise for bids for the Vandiver Road Culvert Repair Project. (Tentative bid opening date will be March 14, 2022).

1. Committee discussion and a motion to send to the Village Board approval for Officer Macias and Officer Rach to attend Crash Investigation Training 2 from May 16-27, 2022 at a cost of $1,200.00 each ($2,400.00 total) from line item 5195P from the village’s FY 2022/2023 budget.

2. Committee discussion and a motion to send to the Village Board approval for Officer Rach to attend Vehicle Dynamics Training from June 6-10, 2022 at a cost of $900.00 from line item 5195P from the village’s FY 2022/2023 budget.

3. Committee discussion and a motion to send to the Village Board approval to allow Roy Bethge, Chief of Police to sign the Winnebago-Boone Integrity Task Force Officer Involved Incident Investigations Policy and Procedure Intergovernmental Agreement, pending attorney review and approval.

4. Committee discussion and a motion to send to the Village Board approval for Chief Bethge to provide a conditional Offer of Employment to Part-time Police Officer Candidate Michael Parlapiano.

5. Committee discussion and a motion to send to the Village Board approval to purchase squad car emergency lighting and equipment for (2) Ford Interceptor SUVs at a total cost not to exceed $26,000.00 from line item 5375 Capital Improvements from the village’s FY 2022/2023 budget.

6. Committee discussion and a motion to send to the Village Board approval to purchase new cabinets for the Police Department’s Kitchen Area from Menards, Cherry Valley, Illinois at a cost not to exceed $7,000.00 from line item 5375 Capital Improvements.
