April: Home prices in Back of the Yards fell

The median sale price of a home sold in April in Back of the Yards, a Chicago neighborhood, fell by $20,250 while total sales decreased by 61.1 percent, according to BlockShopper.com.

In April, there were seven homes sold, with a median sale price of $77,500 - a 20.7 percent decrease from the $97,750 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 18 homes sold in Back of the Yards in April 2021.

The median sales tax in Back of the Yards for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $1,366, approximately 1.8 percent of the median home sale price for April.
