About the crime:
This alert gives notice to residents of the 14th, 17th and the 25th Districts of recent armed robberies. In these incidents, unknown offenders arrived in a blue 4-door vehicle. The offenders displayed handguns and announced a robbery. The offenders then proceeded to rob the victim of the victim's personal property and flee the scene.
Incident times and locations:
- 3400 block of W. Armitage on December 2 at 1:21 a.m.
- 3600 block of W. Shakespeare on December 2 at 1:25 a.m.
- 3400 block of W. Irving Park Rd. on December 2 at 1:39 a.m.
- 4000 block of W. Wellington on December 2 at 1:40 a.m.
- 3100 block of N. Pulaski on December 2 at 2-2:30 a.m.
- 4000 block of W. Fullerton on December 2 at 2:10 a.m.
In JF-494973, the offenders were described as three Black males, 25-30 years old, 5’9”-6’0”, 170-190 lbs.
What you can do:
- Do Not Resist.
- Be aware of this crime and alert your neighbors.
- Pay special attention to any suspicious subjects loitering in the area.
- Ensure that existing surveillance cameras are functional.
- Call 911 immediately and provide a detailed description of the offender(s), including any vehicle description and license plate information.
- Be aware of your surroundings.
