About the Crime:
This alert gives notice to residents of the 18th District of recently reported burglary and robbery incidents that resulted in the theft of several motor vehicles. In the each incident, multiple offenders commit a robbery or burglary to gain entrance into a commercial business or residential garage that contains motor vehicles. Once inside, the offenders gain access to the vehicle keys and steal multiple motor vehicles. These incidents have occurred in Beats 1811, 1813, 1831 and 1833.

• 300 block of West Superior St., Friday October 21, 2022 in the morning hours
• 200 block of East Delaware Pl., Thursday October 27, 2022 in the morning hours
• 200 block of East Delaware Pl., Thursday October 27, 2022 in the morning hours
• 200 block of East Delaware Pl., Thursday October 27, 2022 in the morning hours
• 200 block of East Delaware Pl., Thursday October 27, 2022 in the morning hours
• 200 block of East Delaware Pl., Thursday October 27, 2022 in the morning hours
• 1700 block of North Clybourn Ave., Wednesday November 16, 2022 in the morning hours
• 900 block of West North Ave., Wednesday November 16, 2022 in the morning hours
• 1000 block of North Lake Shore Dr., Saturday November 26, 2022 in the morning hours
About the Offenders:
(3- 5) Male, African Americans, 5’07” to 6'00", 150-170lbs, masked, wearing dark clothing
What you can do:
• Always be aware of your surroundings.
• If confronted by an assailant, remain calm.
• Remember any unique physical characteristics (scars, tattoos, acne, limps, etc).
• Never pursue a fleeing assailant, provide information to police.
• If approached by a witness to the incident, request contact information.
• Call 911 immediately and provide a detailed description of any suspicious people including any vehicle description and license plate information.
