About the Crime:
This alert gives notice to numerous Motor Vehicle Thefts that have occurred in the 007th District (Englewood) during the month of December/ January. In all of these incidents, the Victims parked their vehicle and discovered it missing or damaged the same day or next day.
Incident times and locations:
- 1200 Block of West 74th Street on December 09-10, 2022, between the hours of 10:00PM and 8:50AM.
- 1200 Block of West 73rd Place on December 8-10, 2022 between the hours of 7:00AM and 11:16AM.
- 6900 Block of South Bishop Street on December 7, 2022 between the hours of 11:45AM12:02pM.
- 1300 Block of West 71st Place on December 7, 2022 between the hours of 11:25AM and 11:32AM.
- 1500 Block of West 73rd Place on December 05, 2022 between the hours of 3:34AM and 3:38AM.
- 1300 Block of West 72nd Place on January 01, 2023 between the hours of 1:30PM and 2:30PM.
- 1300 Block of West 72nd Place on Jan 01, 2023 at 10:30PM.
- 1300 Block of West 72nd Place between the dates of January 2-3, 2023 between the hours of 10:00PM to 7:00PM.
Two African American Males, 5'07"-5'08", 120-130 pounds, 17-19 years old wearing dark clothing driving a Blue Color Hyundai.
What you can do:
- Be aware of this crime and alert your neighbors.
- Pay special attention to any suspicious people loitering in the area.
- Do not leave your car keys in the vehicle. Do not leave unattended when car
- is running.
- Call 911 immediately and provide a detailed description of the offender(s) including any vehicle description and license plate information.
