This alert gives notice of numerous Motor Vehicle Thefts that have occurred in the 7th District (Englewood) during the month of January. In all of these incidents, the victims parked their vehicle and discovered it missing or damaged the same day or next day.
Incident times and locations:
- 6500 block of S. Yale, from January 4-5, 2023, between 10:30 p.m. – 5 a.m.
- 6500 block of S. Yale, from January 4-5, 2023, between 8 p.m. – 10 a.m.
- 6400 block of S. Yale on January 6, 2023, at 9:30 p.m.
- 300 block of W. 64th St., on January 9, 2023, from 5 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
- 300 block of W. 63rd St., on January 12, 2023 at 9 a.m.

- Be aware of this crime and alert your neighbors.
- Pay special attention to any suspicious people loitering in the area.
- Do not leave your car keys in the vehicle.
- Do not leave unattended when car is running.
- Call 911 immediately and provide a detailed description of the offender(s), including any vehicle description and license plate information.
