Offender: Male juvenile, 17
Charges: Four (4) felony counts – PCS – Possession – Poss Amt Con Sub Except (A)(D)
Two (2) felony counts – UUW – Weapon – Possess/Carry/Conceal Weapon
One (1) felony count – Vehicular Hijacking – Aggravated – Firearm
One (1) felony count – Unlawful Possess/Driver/Vehicle/Stolen
One (1) felony count – Robbery – Armed with Firearm
One (1) felony count – Possession of a Stolen Firearm
Narrative: The above offender was arrested by members of the Vehicular Hijacking Task Force on January 25, 2023, at 12:32 p.m., in the 11300 block of S. Peoria. He was positively identified as one of the offenders who, earlier that day, took a vehicle at gunpoint from a 52-year-old male in the 2900 block of W. Fitch (24th District). The offender is also charged in connection to the armed robbery of a 38-year-old male that occurred hours later in the 1900 block of W. Farwell (24th District). Officers located the offender and placed him into custody, at which time two firearms and suspected narcotics were recovered. The offender was subsequently charged accordingly.
