Critics are taking to Twitter to blast Black Lives Matter activist and Chicago mayoral candidate Ja’Mal Green.

Green failed in a previous attempt at the office now occupied by his opponent incumbent Lori Lightfoot.

“Check mayoral hopeful Ja’Mal Greens involvement. He supposedly had a business to help facilitate the PPP applications. You can also follow up with @LarryRogersJr as he had some BOR analysts under his watch get caught. 1 was his CC Judge buddys’ kid. @CCBoardofReview," Twitter user Todd Thielmann said.

Another Twitter user linked to a statement from Green noting his involvement in PPP loans.

“Ja'Mal Green - Our team is proud to announce a partnership..” the announcement reads.

Our team is proud to announce a partnership with a local and national bank to process PPP applications quicker! Fill out our form on..”

Green was accused of randomly signing up people.

“Ja’Mal Green was recruiting anyone with a social security number to fill out PPP loan applications with “his team” and then was taking a cut,” Twitter user Christine Robin said.

The PPP program has been plagued with corruption.

In Cook County Clerk of Court Iris Martinez’s office alone 50 employees were accused of PPP loan fraud.

The clerk employees were accused of falsifying income to support the loans which were not required to be paid back.

During the pandemic, Green posted calls of action on Facebook telling followers to sign up for the loans linking to a now-defunct link.

“Getting folks ready for PPP, sign up to get your money in one day. Majosteemarketing.com," the post from Jan. 2021 reads.

The post links to an image reading “Black Wall Street” with a raised black fist “PPP Loans tomorrow and Navy Federal!” the announcement reads.

Green directed such clients to Majostee Marketing Co. & Financial.

“MMC specializes in marketing, public relations, and brand strategy for small businesses, corporations, and political campaigns.
