About the Crime:
This alert gives notice to residents of the 017th district of recent Motor Vehicle Thefts. In these incidents offender(s) have targeted Kia's and Hyundai's for theft. The victim parked their vehicle for the evening and later returned to find their vehicle was stolen by the unknown offender.
Incident times and locations:
- 2800 block of West Grace St. between February 3rd at 11:30pm and February 4th at 8am.
- 3300 block of North Whipple St. between February 7th at 9:30pm and February 8th at 5:30am.
- 3800 block of North Mozart St. between February 7th at 8:15pm and February 8th at 7:15am.
- 3800 block of North Kedzie Ave. between February 8th at 9:00pm and February 9th at 7:30am.

What you can do:
- Be aware of this crime and alert your neighbors.
- Pay special attention to any suspicious subjects loitering in the area.
- Ensure that existing surveillance cameras are functional.
- Call 911 immediately and provide a detailed description of the offender(s) including any vehicle description and license plate information.
