About the Crime:

This alert gives notice to businesses, specifically those which sell and/or service vehicles or vehicle accessories in the 014th and 025th District, of recent burglaries that have taken place. These incidents occurred in the overnight hours while the business was closed. The offenders gain entry by forcing open overhead doors, or backing their vehicle into the door. Once inside, the offenders rummage through the business and offices within, taking keys, cash, and diagnostic electronics. In one incident, an offender is seen on video armed with a handgun.

Offender Description:

•  (3) male blacks wearing black ski masks, black hooded sweatshirts, black pants

What you can do:

•  Be aware of this crime and alert nearby businesses.
•  Do not try to rationalize or confront offenders as it could lead to possible injury
•  If possible, use ArmorPlast, an unbreakable shield that fits over existing glass
•  Ensure that existing surveillance cameras are functional and recording.
•  Call 911 immediately and provide a detailed description of the offender
