Narrative: The above offender was arrested by members of the Vehicular Hijacking Task Force on March 14, 2023, at 1:07 p.m., in the 5700 block of S. Michigan. He was identified as one of the offenders who, several hours earlier, took a vehicle at gunpoint from the 35-year-old male at a gas station in the 1200 block of W. Belmont (19th District). Officers observed the offender in the stolen vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. The offender attempted to flee, striking a Chicago Police Vehicle in the process. The offender was taken into custody, at which time he was identified in connection to the November 1, 2022 armed robbery of an 18-year-old female and 19-year-old male, who was also forced to a second location, that occurred in the 7400 block of S. Morgan (7th District). The offender was subsequently charged accordingly.
