On April 28, 2023, the Co-Chairs of the bipartisan Congressional Ukraine Caucus – Representatives Marcy Kaptur (D-OH-09), Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA-01), Mike Quigley (D-IL-05), and Andy Harris (R-MD-01) – released the following statement on Russian missile strikes overnight in Kyiv.
“Russia’s overnight barrage in Kyiv targeted civilians hundreds of miles from the frontline, including many who were still asleep in their beds when the missiles struck. Vladimir Putin’s willingness to use indiscriminate terror attacks against innocent people is both tragic and indicative of his desperation to change the course of his illegal war against Ukraine.
“This act of aggression demands accountability and a decisive response. The United States and our allies will continue to stand with Ukraine on the frontline of this fight to save democracy and freedom. Together we will achieve victory.”
