State Representative Brad Stephens (R-Rosemont) is hosting a Holiday Baby Supply Drive next week in Chicago's 20th District. The drive aims to collect baby supplies for Cradles to Crayons Chicago, a charity organization that supports families in need.
During an interview, Rep. Stephens expressed his motivation behind organizing this event, saying, "This time of year can be difficult for mothers and families to provide for their families while meeting the needs of the holidays. I'm glad to be hosting this baby supply drive at my district office to lend a helping hand to our neighbors in need."
The drive will take place between November 20th and November 22nd at Rep. Stephens' district office located at 5515 N East River Rd. Individuals can drop off their donations in the front lobby of the office during the designated hours of 9 AM to 4 PM each day. Rep. Stephens has also provided an alternative way to contribute, stating, "Whether you're dropping off at my office or contributing to Cradles to Crayons' Amazon wishlist, you can spread holiday cheer and connect to the true spirit of the season before Thanksgiving."
The accepted items for donation include new diapers in sizes 0-6, winter coats from sizes 0 months to adult medium, pajamas ranging from sizes 3 months to adult medium, new underwear in sizes 2T to adult medium, new school supplies, new hygiene items, unopened diapers, unopened pull-ups, and unopened diaper wipes.
For those who cannot visit the district office in person, Rep. Stephens encourages them to contribute through Cradles to Crayons' Amazon wishlist.
