The Wilson Avenue Bridge over the North Branch of the Chicago River is set to undergo repair work starting on Monday, March 25. This initiative will lead to the closure of the bridge to vehicular traffic for approximately two months, as announced by the Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT).

Along with the closure, pedestrians and cyclists can take solace in the fact that sidewalks will remain accessible throughout the repair project, ensuring continued passage for non-vehicular commuters. To manage the flow of traffic during this period, marked detours will be in place guiding vehicles to use Montrose Avenue as an alternative route.

The CDOT's endeavor on the Wilson Avenue Bridge represents a crucial step in maintaining the city's infrastructure. The repairs aim to address structural concerns and enhance the safety and longevity of the bridge for all users.
