Mayor Brandon Johnson and the City of Chicago’s Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE) announced the full food vendor and music lineup for this year’s downtown edition of Taste of Chicago, set to take place from September 6 to 8 in Grant Park. The event will feature 40 food vendors, more than a dozen food trucks, and free performances by notable artists such as GRAMMY®-winning singer CeeLo Green, regional Mexican music trio Yahritza y Su Esencia, and Australian alternative rock group Atlas Genius on the Taste Main Stage.

Local artists will be showcased on The Goose Island Stage, including Gabacho, Asha Imuno, MJ Nebreda, DJ Toyacoyah, DJ Hotrod, and DJ Iggy. Attendees can also enjoy family activities, special programming, free dance lessons, and more throughout the weekend.

“For more than four decades, Taste of Chicago has grown into a global institution,” said Mayor Brandon Johnson. “I’m thrilled to welcome performing artists from Chicago and around the world to Grant Park for a must-see weekend of entertainment.”

Following a successful event in Rogers Park this June, DCASE will present additional neighborhood events in Marquette Park on July 27 and Pullman Park on August 17. Both events will feature food vendors, music performances, dance lessons by Chicago SummerDance, and kids’ activities.

“We’re proud to once again present Taste of Chicago in the neighborhoods,” said DCASE Commissioner Clinée Hedspeth. “Taste of Chicago provides a platform for small businesses to be discovered.”

Sam Toia, President and CEO of the Illinois Restaurant Association stated: “The Taste of Chicago showcases the incredible culinary diversity of our city's 77 neighborhoods. It offers a special bite of why we are the greatest culinary city in the world.”

Admission to Taste of Chicago is free. Vendors accept cash or credit payments. For more information about the festival schedule and lineup details visit TasteofChicago.us.

The festival is produced by DCASE in coordination with the Illinois Restaurant Association and sponsored by several organizations including Goose Island Beer Company and Lifeway Kefir.

The city encourages attendees to report any suspicious activity during the event.
