City of Wheaton Public Library Board met Sept. 30
Here are the minutes provided by the board:
I. Call to Order
Present in-person at roll call were Finance Committee Chair Christine Fenne, Steve Siemer and President Laurie Metanchuk. Absent: Al Herbach. Library Director Betsy Adamowski and Library Finance/Business Office Manager Lisa Christell-Sandri were also present.
II. Citizens to be Heard
None
III. Discussion of Wheaton Public Library CY2024 Budget
Mrs. Adamowski noted that, due to the budget discussion April 22nd, the City Council is already aware of the challenges the Library faces. She then went over the Library's CY2025 Budget, specifically revenue, personnel, increased cost concerns and resulting deficit. Mrs. Adamowski and Ms. Christell-Sandri answered members questions. Mrs. Adamowski then gave an overview of the Budget Presentation, taking suggestions from the committee members for modifications/clarifications.
IV. Adjournment
Mr. Siemer moved and Mrs. Metanchuk seconded to adjourn. A voice vote was taken and the motion for adjournment was carried at 7:37 p.m.
